MEET LUCIA DAVIDSON, COACH OF NEPTUNES CADET BOYS
Level 2 Certifiied Coach,
Lucia's Grade 10
teacher coached the high school water polo team and encouraged her to get involved. That was 35 years ago and Lucia's
been playing and coaching water polo ever since.
Lucia's water polo career is long and storied. In the past 35 years, she's
trained and played at the high school, club, provincial team
and Western Canadian team level. She's participated in local to national championships, as well as a few
Western Canada and Canada games as a player, coach, referee and volunteer. She was also on the organizing
committees for the 1999 Women's FINA Cup and the 1999 Pan Am Games water polo competitions. In 2006 she competed
with a women's team (comprised mainly of former Manitoba players) in the World Masters Aquatic Championships (silver)
and continues to play in the USA Masters Nationals each year.
Lucia has coached at the Western Canada Games, Canada Games and National Championships and is currently the volunteer coach for the Neptunes Cadet boys team. . |
