MEET TREVOR THORINGTON, COACH
NCCP Level 3
Trevor began his water polo career in the 1970s, as part of the high school league
that introduced so many fans of water polo to the sport.
He has been coaching since 1980, with experience at the Club, Provincial and National levels.
Teams under Trevor's stewardship
have won hosts of medals over the years and he was named Most Valuable Coach in 1991 and 1992 at the senior women’s
national championships. He has also coached several athletes who played or trained with the Canadian Women’s
National Team. He was the assistant coach of the Women’s
Junior National team in 2004-2005 that finished 6th at world championships. He also coached the Canadian Select League in 2007 and 2008. This is the top 40 female athletes
playing in a league in Montreal.
